Steele And Cranky On Blog Radio

Yesterday, I was privileged to conduct a 90 minute Blog Radio interview with the esteemed aviation blogger Brett Snyder aka, The Cranky Flier.    I conducted the interview in conjunction with Mr. Credit Card, as part of my column over at the blog at Ask Mr Credit Card.

I have been reading Cranky's blog almost from the beginning, and even wrote a guest post for him a couple of years ago.    As an aviation geek myself, I have a lot in common with Brett, a self described Airline Dork.   While I was lucky to spend a lot of my youth at airports, by way of the fact that my father was a private pilot, Brett seems equally obsessed with all things airlines.  I will admit to having a secret stash of airline timetables as a child as well.    Later, my bike rides seemed always to converge at the edge of an airfield somewhere.   My late night study sessions in college always happened to end up in periodicals, somewhere near a stack of Aviation Week magazines.   I later became a commercial pilot and flight instructor, although I turned down an offer to fly with a scheduled airline.

In our 90 minute interview, we covered all sorts of subjects from airline fees to electronic ticket distribution to the 3 hour (tarmac delay) rule.   If you like all things airline and aviation related, and you have some time on your hands, I recommend you take some time to listen in.

At the very least, you will learn how Brett got the name, The Cranky Flier.
